Tip: If you are looking for a particular street name, try using the "search" or "find" command in your browser to more easily locate that notice. The table is sorted by City, then by Type of Filing, then by address.

Douglas County, NV - Notice of Default - March 2008 Filings

If you are trying to identify homes that are likely to go into foreclosure in Minden, Gardnerville, Genoa, Wellington, or Lake Tahoe, this blog post is for you.

The list below represents all of the homes that are in a "Pre-Foreclosure" state. Technically, each of the properties below has had a Notice of Default (NOD) served by the lender to the property owner during March, 2008.

Keep in mind, the properties below may not enter foreclosure if the property owners are able to cure the default within 35 days of the Notice of Default. I just finished a new feature that I thought I'd post on here in case any of you may find it useful. I have had a few people asking me for better access to zip code searches, especially in the Reno and Sparks areas where there are many more zip codes than the smaller towns in the region.

Greater Reno-Tahoe House Market - April, 2008 Update

What's happening in the Reno-Tahoe real estate markets?

Here are a few insights from April edition of The Greater Reno-Tahoe Real Estate Report:

The Reno median home price (single family, stick built only) hit a new low at $284,400. This is down from $299,000 in February, 2008 and represents a 25% decline from the recent (April, 2005) peak of 379,000.
The Sparks median home price tied a recent low of $255,000 - down 15% from March of 2007.
Carson City April, 2008 inventory (348 homes) levels were down 9% from April, 2007 - this is a good sign for home sellers, if it continues.
Carson Valley April, 2008 Inventory (598 homes) is down 13% from April, 2007. Again, a good potential early indicator for…
