Foreclosure & Short Sale Homes, Notice of Default/Trustee Sale

ATTENTION -

As of April 15, 2009, the Northern Nevada Regional Multiple Listing Service (NNRMLS) has added fields that allow this site to offer foreclosure listings that are updated daily as well as the ability to search for (or exclude) foreclosure listings. This new (more relaxed capability) allows you to have a great deal more control over your home searching and browing experience.

You can now easily browse all Reno Foreclosure Listings or Search for Reno Homes in foreclosure from these links.

This information supersedes the January 2009 ban on posting foreclosure listings and respresents a victory for consumers!

Denice - the information source for the notice of sale AND notice of default is the local county. The other listings come from the regional MLS (which is why there are photos and complete descriptions). Some of these homes may be listed in the MLS - you can search by street name in the QuickSearch box at the top left corner of my site to see if it is currently listed for sale. Hope this helps.

I was wondering why there arent any pictures of the homes to be auctioned.

a house on the list is offering rent with option to buy. how do i know he still has the right to do this and that i won't lose out in a month or so?

Denice - the homes to be auctioned are sourced from the county (versus the MLS). As a result, there is not complete listing information. Some of these may be listed in the MLS - use the quick search box at the top of the screen and type in the street name (or first few characters of the street name) to see if the home is currently listed (with photos). - Mitch

Estelle - have your agent (or me) do some of the homework to ensure your interests are protected in the agreement.

I am specifically interested in homes with 2 mortgages where the total value is less than $300,000 and the 2nd is at least 40% of the 1st. Is there anyway to get a data feed(s) to help locate properties like this?

Mark - you will need to get heavily into the data that the county publishes and gain access in spreadsheet form to do your analysis. I am not aware of any sources like this - especially for all homes within a county. I have seen some formats for notice of default/sale homes that provide this information in a spreadsheet. Send me an email if you have any other questions.
