Do homes on larger lots only have septic tanks and private wells?
Not always. You can find homes on acreage that may have both city/county water as well as city sewer.
Will a home on acreage be automatically zoned for horses?
Not automatically. Some homes on large parcels are in areas with CCRs which may not allow horses or other farm animals. This information can be searched in the MLS and you should always confirm horse zoning with the County.
Can I add a second home (or manufactured home) on my lot?
It depends. Just because the propery has the space, you are not entitled to do anything with it that you please. The zoning is likely for a single family home and the County will not allow a second home, however, guest homes with limited square footage and/or kitchen cooking appliances are often within the code - best to check with the county on each property of interest!
